Talking about the price, at present raw egg is being sold for seven rupees and boiled egg for twelve rupees per piece in the market. Till the first week of December, a box of eggs was being sold for Rs 860 in the city. In such a situation, as the cold increases, the eggs also start falling faster. At present, a box of eggs costs Rs 1080. Due to increasing winter, egg consumption has increased by 45 to 50 percent.
Egg businessman Mukesh said that with the onset of winter, the prices of eggs are also increasing. More growth may be seen in the coming days. Mukesh has attributed the rise in prices to the increase in the price of chicken feed. The cost has increased due to 30 percent increase in the prices of soybean, maize and millet.
